Summer in Cairo doesn’t have to mean staying home with the AC on full blast. With a little planning, you can turn this season into a collection of memories your kids will talk about for years. Here are 10 places I personally love — and that real HappyMommy moms have tested and approved.

1. KidZania Cairo (Cairo Festival City)
The ultimate hands-on city for kids aged 4–16. They get to “work” real jobs, earn KidZos, and spend them — all in a safe, air-conditioned mini-city. Perfect for a full day out.

2. Sindbad Amusement Park (Heliopolis)
A Cairo classic that never gets old. Great for kids who love rides, and easy to reach from most parts of the city. Go on a weekday morning to avoid the crowds.

3. Dream Park (6th of October)
One of Egypt’s largest amusement parks — roller coasters, water rides, and wide open spaces. Pack snacks, wear comfortable shoes, and go early.

4. Fagnoon Children’s Art Space (Maadi)
A hidden gem. Fagnoon is an open-air art studio where kids can paint, sculpt, and create freely. Calm, beautiful, and wonderfully different from screen time.

5. Little Explorer (New Cairo)
An indoor educational play space designed for toddlers and young children. Clean, thoughtfully designed, and the staff are genuinely warm.

6. Cairo Zoo (Giza)
Old-school magic. Yes, it’s crowded on Fridays — but on a quiet Tuesday morning, there’s something beautiful about watching your child see a real elephant for the first time.

7. The Waterway (New Cairo)
A lovely outdoor promenade for an evening walk, ice cream, and letting the kids run freely. Low effort, high reward.

8. Cleo Kids Spa & Play (Zamalek)
For the little ones who deserve a treat too. Mini manicures, hair braiding, and a play area that feels genuinely special. Great for birthday outings.

9. Sky Zone Trampoline Park (various locations)
Pure energy release. An hour at Sky Zone and your kids will sleep beautifully. Also — secretly fun for moms too.

10. Al-Azhar Park (Islamic Cairo)
Underrated and stunning. Beautiful gardens, city views, and a peaceful atmosphere. Pack a picnic and let the kids explore. Golden hour here is magical.

Thoughtfully selected. Personally approved. — Jailan 💛
